Adding Media to an Object
In the gallery of your SMART Notebook software, you'll find an enormous collection of media of all sorts. Some are clip images, some are interactive, some are multimedia, and so on. But, you're not locked into what comes right out of the gallery.
For example, there's a guitar..
Now, that's a great looking guitar. Once it's been brought into the Notebook, you can do things like resizing, rotating, change the level of transparency, ...
There's also another guitar in there. It has a little speaker in the bottom left corner of the image. That's a visual that this object has a sound attached to it.
There's a third option. Let's go back to the original image. (The one without the sound attached to it.) Reason is, we have a student at my school who is a great guitar player and we recorded her and saved it on our computer as an MP3 file.
So, back we go and click on the pull down menu to bring up the properties of the guitar object. The second from the bottom menu item is entitled "Sound". This looks good..
Choose sound and a dialogue box opens. You now have the ability to find your own sound file. Find your recording and attach it to your image. You have one final option. You can have the speaker appear in the bottom left corner by default, or you can make the entire object the button to activate your sound.
This is just another example of the flexibiity that you have when you build your own Notebooks.
