Data Virtualization for Valentine's Day
Just in time for Valentine's Day, I'd like to share this with you.
Over the Christmas Holidays, I ended up making a connection with a former student of mine, Jeff Clark, from Sandwich Secondary School. I blogged about it on December 28.
Having re-established the connection, Jeff blogged back on December 29. It was cool to chat after an absence and I would encourage you to read both blog entries linked to above.
Jeff is into data vitualization and has a number of projects at his website at: http://www.neoformix.com/. One of his projects is just perfect for Valentine's Day and so I'm giving readers plenty of time to try it out before then.
It's called "Word Hearts" and it's available at: http://www.neoformix.com/Projects/WordHearts/index.html. It's a very easy concept. Just go and enter a number of words and play with the sliders and Jeff's algorithm does the rest, generating a heart full of the words at different proportions.
As I've done below, filling the heart with family members makes the perfect Valentine's Day project!
